For our first NYC Event, "Vino Bodega," we were inspired to explore the rich history and modern relevance of bodegas and natural wine culture. A toast to the old classics and new faves of NYC.
Bodegas and natural wine culture hold shared values of accessibility, community, and diversity.
Historically, bodegas have served as vibrant community hubs. Providing essential goods for diverse populations, bodegas are New York’s signature of belonging. Natural wine culture continues this tradition, by breaking down hierarchical boundaries of established wine culture, by celebrating new flavors, perspectives and communities along the way.
We invite our guests to indulge in nostalgia with our Bodega inspired food installation, learn new things with Beso Club and Hearts Wine + Spirits, and delight in the beauty of the summer heat with new friends and fresh beats by Power Haus.
To challenge the boundaries that have often times made many feel left out traditional wine culture, we wanted to put a playful spin on the wine and food pairing model. We chose some favorite bodega snacks, and asked our wine partners from Hearts Wine & Spirits to bring in their expertise for a “bite and sip” experience like no other! Where's Linus Orange
Pair with Cheetos
Why? This orange wine is all about the funky, tangy notes, and when you throw in the cheesy crunch of Cheetos, it’s a crazy, fun pairing for the “grown up kid” vibe.
